• Sleep Disorders: Central SA and cardiac disease. Association between respiratory sleep disorders and cutaneous melanoma growth rate. Effect of CPAP treatment in women with Obstructive sleep apnea. • Cancer: Lung cancer screening cohort of more than 550 patients with emphysema and/or COPD. Epigenetic study of minimally invasive samples obtained by EBUS in lung cancer. Prospective SAIL and SAILS studies dedicated to the prevalence of sleep apnea in patients with lung cancer and high risk subjects enrolled in the lung cancer screening cohort. Retrospective and prospective IASLC cohort. Metabolomics study of patients at high risk for lung cancer.
• COPD: Transcriptomic study of genetic susceptibility to lung damage in animal models. Identification of the key biomarkers in the development and progression of the disease in the animal model and
its clinical significance. Prospective cohorts of Early-COPD patients and severe COPD. Metabolomic analysis of the longitudinal cohort CHAIN-SEPAR with search of predictive biomarkers in the evolution of the disease. New therapeutic targets based on the use of growth factors in the experimental models of the disease.
